Howdy from Colorado!

Hi Folks,
Looking forward to exploring this forum and getting lots of input.
Like so many others, we are moving up from a Casita. It’s a great little trailer but it was just too small for us with 2 Labs. We put an order in for a 5.0 in early August and asked for a mid April delivery. For us, there is just too much snow to use it in the mountains much before May. So, April it is!

Welcome to the group. I picked mine up in May.

I plan on being out till at least November this year, on and off. Next year starts in February with a quick trip to Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife. But I agree about snow in the mountains in April.

You will love the 5.0.

congrats!

I had mine built at Christmas so it had time to off gas. It sat for 6 months before I actually got it delivered,

Welcome to the forum. Escape makes the best trailers.

Hey Tim,

Wow! Thanks for the offer!! My wife and I actually got to see one in Littleton. We had basically already decided but seeing it sealed the deal for us. So, I think I’ll pass on your generous offer BUT I hope to stay in touch to bounce ideas off of you.

Did you see HarleyD's 5.0? Good choice.

And YES on the keep in touch thing. I was on retainer for a wine importer in Co. Springs for 16 years. I know the place pretty well and I envy you having access to those beautiful foothills. Those are some of the nicest. Victor is my favorite town down there. Anything around Pikes Peak is great.

I like climbing the Incline too. So bounce away with ideas! And maybe we can compare notes on future strategies for camping. I am spending more time between Pueblo and the southern state line these days. Mostly in the San Juan mountains and I want to get acquainted with the Wet mountains.

Welcome to the club! Again!

So what do we call you now, Captain Kirk?

Hello Kirk, Matt here in TX and new to the forum too. We also decided on the 5.0 and look forward to it's completion date. Perhaps we'll meet down the road some day...

Matt,
Would love to meet sometime and It’s not that far fetched. I had to check to see where Palacios is. It’s a haul from my kids but I hear Escape has done a TX rally at some point not so long ago. I’ve got a son going thru pilot training in Wichita Falls and a daughter who just finished at TCU. We’ll be in TX for sure. Hopefully, they hold another rally at some point.

We will be picking up our 5.0 in Sumas in one month, then spending about a month and a half traveling slowly back home to Colorado. Getting excited.

How nice for you Stephen, we're stuck in the waiting room until March, and as I'm sure you understand, we are really ant'sey for it to happen. Maybe see you down the road. Matt & Pat
