Howdy from Texas
Hi everyone, new to the Forum. We just sold our 25' Motorhome and looking to buy an Escape 5.0... I know, hurry up and wait. I priced one out with all the goodies, but haven't put a deposit yet.
I'm retired Army since 1997, currently working in the Oil Field in Texas. I'm the President of Texas Handgun Association, I travel all over the state speaking to groups and teaching gun classes.
My wife is from Thailand, and we have a home over there. In about two years we plan to retire and split our time between here (being Texas) and there.
We hope to spend most of next year travelling all around the USA and Canada. This whole covid thing has caused us to change plans a bit.
Looking forward to learning more about these fantastic little trailers, and hopefully meeting some of you in the future.

David I will be over there on September 1 and 2. I have a class I have to take with DPS. Then headed to Houston for the NRA National Conference. We have a booth there so it's mostly work.
I would love to see the trailer. Are you an Ambassador too? I'd like to find out how that works. Best way to reach me is text message at 432-978-2669. I'll be staying in Cedar Creek the night of the 1st if that works for you, please let me know. My daughter is in San Marcos so we get over there to see the Grandkids often too.
Thanks for you generous offer.

Welcome aboard Army. I was in Thailand in 1964 for a short time. Up country, Way up country.

Wallace, sent you a PM, I'm in the Cedar Creek zipcode and will have my new 5.0 there by September 1.
Not an Ambassador (yet) but quite willing to show if interested.

Ranger, as in Army Ranger? I was Airborne in the 82nd. Way up country like Udon Thani? That's where my wife is from. It's near the Capitol of Laos. Just across the Mekong River. We were supposed to go last year, and well, you know how that turned out... We did a MAJOR remodel on the house and haven't been able to see it other than photos.
Thanks for the input and welcome.

Yes, Army Ranger. We were in Chiang Mai. Our planned op was to 'interfere' with commerce in the Golden Triangle. Didn't happen. The Company was in business to the north and didn't want us upsetting the status quo.

LOL That was my second guess... I'd imagine it's changed a bit. It's a Yuppie paradise now.

You mean the Hans don't traffic in Guanyinwang 'China Tea' anymore? It was an ill conceived op anyway. The Han War Lords were estimated to have over a 1000 man private army and knew the territory well. There were 30 of us.
