Just a drive by to say hello
I am new to this forum and escape so I wanted to register, login in and introduce myself.
My name is Marv, I am a single man retired from the university of Michigan a few years ago and anxiously awaiting my build and delivery of a 5.0 fifth wheel.
Although my delivery date isn’t until July of 2023 I am excited to begin a new chapter in my life once it’s mine, and who knows maybe will have a travel companion by then too.
😊
I’m happy to join this family and look forward to learning, experiencing, and meeting new life long friends.
Marv

Welcome, the collective forum knows a lot with professionals willing to share their expertise in many areas. We hope to have our E19 by the end of the year and are currently in the configuration phase trying to see what ETI will and won’t do. I can say fiberglas trailers are worth the wait. It takes a long time, but reading through the forum on the current Gen2 trailers is really worth it.
Happy travels.

Worth it!!!
Hi: Marv... WELCOME to the forum. We've been 5.0TA'n since May 2014 with #2(Classic) out of the mold. Lot of trips to Michigan and Florida but Co-Vivid has cut into them severely, but they're worth the wait!!! Alf

Thanks for the well wishes.
Say I’m curious how the eco diesel performs pulling your 5.0
I just purchased a 2020 ram limited with the eco diesel. I’m throughly impressed with it and getting just shy of 30 highway. I expect that will be severely reduced pulling but still hopeful of high teens. What’s your experience

Hi: Marv... With the larger Imperial gal., as a measure due to my age and towing around Ontario, we have had up to 26 mpg's. On our month long trip to the east coast and around Newfoundland in 2019 we averaged 21. We don't have the air suspension, as it limits where the 5th. wh. hitch can be located, and also the Ram boxes that limit the swing room for the pin box. We do have additional Air Lift 1000 inflatable bags in the rear coils for a level ride. I use the tow/haul somewhat and that pretty much keeps the truck in 7th gear to keep it from lugging with a low RPM. Alf
