Moving from a Foretravel to a 5.0, Newbie

Hi everyone!
Bob and Faith Rozek here! We have been fulltiming in a 1997 U320 Foretravel coach for 11 years and have just recently sold it. My wife is a travel nurse and we will continue to travel 6 months of the year so we are looking for a Escape 5.0TA to continue the adventures in. We are brandy new to the Escape so any helpful information and tips are greatly appreciated. Also, we have not placed our order at the factory yet but plan on doing this very soon. If anyone is selling their unit, we are serious and ready to buy. Thanks and we look forward to joining the Escape family!!! Bob and Faith

Down sizing a tad, huh?

We love our 5.0TA for traveling. It'd be too small for us for fulltiming but it does work for others.

Welcome to the forum.

It's definitely going to be a bit of an adjustment. We plan on three months at a time. It will probably make us appreciate the house a lot more.

We do 3 months at a time, and yes, Huge difference when you get home.

It is a great trailer for traveling, the only cons we have after 6 years use is making the bed and the steps to the bed get a bit tricky depending on one's physical shape.

Both are small things as long as you can get your spouse to make the bed.

Our 5.0 TA is great. The dog and I could, but there is no way my wife would go for full timing in it. Her major complaints would be closet space and the wet bath. Is your wife still working? Think that would make it even tougher.

Yes still working and we will continue traveling 3 months at a time for the next 5 years. The foretravel was great for full timing but we simply don't need it anymore. Very costly to maintain too! We love the nomad lifestyle but not all the time. This should scratch that wanderbug itch and from everything we've read, it sounds like the escape 5.0 will do the trick and do it in a quality 5th wheel. Faith
