Hi: timberdoodle... You'll find the"roof hole" useful for locating the moon and stars in the night sky. Could get a little soggy under it...but then it'll be cloudy anyway!!! LoL Alf

Advance congratulations, Herb. I take it you have been to Texas and figure you can do without the A/C during those months. Maybe you are going to the high peak area of Guadalupe. At least you will have the wires in place to run out and get A/C if you are roasting!

San Antonio, Tx weather for late March historically can reach high 90's. In Maine, I agree but traveling out of that state, I'd have a/c installed. At least get the shroud installed, you can always have another rv place or yourself install if it is wired electrically and thermostat and the shroud Escape uses.

Timberdoodle you should be OK without AC for a month or two in Texas. Find shade and run your max fan. The average high temp for March in central Texas is in the 70's with spring thunderstorms. Keep an eye out for severe weather in southern states. By mid to late May high humidity and summer temps will force you back towards Maine without AC.

Enjoy your new 19.

no ac

Thanks for all the advise. Alf we carry an umbrella in case of rain.Figure to move around if it gets to hot. Are nights hot this time of year in Texas? Don't spend much time in camper in daylight ,our normal area of travel is Wyoming north so thought we'd check out the south this year.
Just recieved build pictures from Kim,but have no clue how to attach them. [computer Ludite] gettin anxious,Herb

If you can indicate what parts of Texas you will be visiting, we can help you on any questions you may have. Texas is expansive and the weather depends where in the state you are. Many parts of Texas are under drought conditions. We will get some cool fronts pushing down for the next month which will help lower
temperatures. Normally it is the high humidity in the south and east parts of the state that make "no AC" an issue. Having said that, I can see tents around in this hill country campground so I do not want to discourage you. The wildflowers are starting to bloom.

We tried to make sure that when we ordered our trailer that we got all the options that we though we would want long term, Ac was a bit of a tough one because like alot of people we havn't used it much in the past. Have had trailers without it and didn't really miss it. It came down to the thought proccess that we didn;t want to leave anything out that is a pain to add later and I considered a/c just that. I also didn't want any wondering trip ideas hampered because its too hot.
