Just a reminder for all the new owners to post their location on the owner's map found here

Looks like Texas is catching up to California, right now the leader in US Escape owners, perhaps a rally in the central US to compete with the Canadian one held in June by Escape? We can use the acronym of USEO- versus CEO for our neighbors north. That might look good on my license plate- USEO # like Airstreams number their units.

Jim there's a huge number of loyal Casita owners in Texas and the surrounding states. A lot of them want a larger fiberglass trailer and Casita just won't budge. If Escape had a factory down here they would never catch up with demand. At every rally down here, the seeds of Escape ownership sprout.
IMHO I don't think the ownership map reflects the true number. I have meet owners who remain anonymous.

Yes, I realize that some people do not like to post any personal info here and that is their choice, but having available that info is nice. Trends as well as rally's can be noted.
A rally within a days drive would be fun for everyone and seeing that many owners nearby is refreshing.

I agree with what you said Jim. Molded fiberglass trailer rallies are popular and have become very large down here. It takes a lot of logistics, planning, and help to pull one off. And for that reason, there are a few smaller "word of mouth gatherings" in existence. I failed miserably at holding an Escape owners gathering in 2012. We were a much smaller group then. I didn't plan far enough in advance to find a central gathering point with accommodations and openings. And half the owners down here at that time had other plans. It was my fault that it didn't happen. But I still hold to the idea of an official Escape trailer rally in the southern US.

Yes, having a successful rally is hard work and time consuming because you are trying to please everyone ( I guess that is what a politician thinks) but anyway with the 7 "P's" as a guideline it can be done.
Once the group decides on a date and a place, the rally host starts their preparation. By attending other rallies you can see the plus and minus of each and you can then try to make an improvement.

Perhaps regional Escape rallies would be best. Then attendees could decide whether they want to travel long distances or just a couple states away. I hope to make it back to mecca some year soon.

Yes, 6 x 10 driving days is a hard drive and then turn around and return. With responsibilities at home, 14 days is probably my max window right now.
