New 2017 Escape 19 Owner in Houston

Howdy!
I recently secured a 2017 Escape 19 and am excited to be planning some trips. The first will be to pick it up in April or June, depending on weather, work schedule, etc.
Also looking around for storage, preferably west of Houston near I-10.
Will appreciate any advice, lessons learned, or interesting stories for first-time RV owner, storing, and traveling in TX.
Looking forward to seeing you all out there!

Congrats fellow Texan!

One lesson learned in storing the trailer: pay the extra price to have it in COVERED storage, if you can't store it on your own property. Prevents oxidation and any damage from hailstorms. I store mine on the far West side of San Antonio, and pay about $25 more a month since it's covered. The hailstorm we had last April heavily damaged hundreds of rv's in that facility, but the covered ones like mine were untouched.

Welcome to the Escape world and this forum, Brent. You say you "secured" a 19 but it sounds more like you "scored" a 19 for pickup in a few months. Way to go...

Congrats on the score. Welcome to my world.
We are in the same boat; however, we ordered a 19' and are waiting to late Fall for pickup. We have never done this before either, so we are looking forward to new adventures.

Brent: Welcome to the growing number of Texas Escape owners! We too plan to get our first Escape in a few months.
