Thank you for the information. I have a little list in my field notes book and I’ll add that one. In the covid 19 self imposed isolation I live for little positives so today I had a few. Went for drive up groceries with Rita at the wheel so I could look around. It’s the peak of the deer rut this week and I saw a nice buck whitetail.
Had a red bellied woodpecker on the feeder today and saw a mated pair of
RedTailed Hawks in two fence posts, Had a good dinner with about the last of my tomatoes from the garden. And learned another early Escape owner thanks to you. Have a great weekend.

Oh and did you confirm that the frame recall work was done? There are actually two for the early 19’s - the first was mending plates welded on the outside where the front “A” meets the straight frame rails and then another with square steel tube welded underneath. Let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks for the links rubicon. I will be doing at least a few of the mods you (and others) have done to sweeten an already pretty sweet little camper. Eventually. “Ready to go” with appointments and layout was a big selling feature from the start.

Still have plans to move some gear around on the reach. The configuration is per original build with the two sideways propane tanks deep in the reach.

The front storage box on the new E19’s just make too much sense NOT to retrofit (they look right as well) This will require moving some already welded components on the reach.

Since there was a block of Escapes built and sold as an introductory release and we have met and talked to several other owners whose Escapes were part of this “offering” we know ours was the 6th 21 built and sold. I had a nice conversation with Reace on this at the Escape rally in May of 2019. Along with comparing numbers with a couple other owners who were at the rally i feel confident on our “vintage sequence”. We know numbers 3,5,6,7 on the 21s. In addition there were three 21 “prototypes” according to Reace, not figuring into our calculation of sequence. Wish I could help you more. Just understand that the serial numbers are not “specific” to a particular model but to the overall builds.

I had #13 of the new E21 series and since it was late Nov, Tammy made it a 2014 model.

Inaugural run completed. 5 nights in a fully serviced campground in Tofino.

Trailer has exceeded all expectations (although I didn’t really know what to expect) was comfortable and quiet. Layout for the 4 of us was great (2 of us are 40lb dogs).

The fridge doesn’t work on 110v but works great on gas, the furnace fan got louder and louder every night (suspect bearings) and the replacement awning material seems to be too long. Pretty short list of complaints.

Nothing to ruin a trip, not even close.

Recently acquired a “new to me” TV and could barely feel the 19 behind. No WD hitch this time (I have it but chose to leave at home), just on the ball with no issue.

Feeling very confident that Escape (even though it’s a used 2009) was a wise choice. Worth the wait to find one.

We just replaced the awning on our 2010 19'. Even with the serial number I ended up calling up Carefree and having one of their support staff walk me through the ordering form. Installed it last weekend and it was a perfect fit.
