New Escape 21 Owner

My name's Henk. With an "e." We will be picking up our new Escape 21 in March, following which we'll be heading to Arizona and then back to Wisconsin. The Forum has been a great help throughout our initial deliberation as to whether to buy or not; and subsequently in helping us to develop our Build Sheet. We - my wife and I - are totally new to this world of trailer camping but thought it might be a good way to see parts of the country that we've not seen. We'll be pulling with a 2015 VW Touareg TDI. In any event, I'm sure I'll be continuing to read and absorb all the info on this wonderful Forum and I'm guessing I'll be making some more posts as we get some mileage on the odometer. Good to meet you. Happy trails.

Have fun, Henk. As preparation for leaving on voyage later this week, Lindy and I were reviewing the notes from our past winter adentures. We were both amazed at the places we have been and the things we have done. We have enjoyed national and state parks, historical sites, presidential libraries, wineries, and the occasional Walmart parking lot. Can't wait to be on the road again

Our New Trailer is Home in Door County

We had ordered a 21 last year in autumn. We were going to pick it up in Chilliwack in March. Then a little thing called the Pandemic occurred...and, unfortunately, is not over yet...and we waited. And waited. And waited. And then Escape announced a new pricing schedule for deliveries. With the border still closed and being loathe to stay in unknown lodging for several days enroute to BC, we asked for a quote, were pleasantly surprised by what Melisa provided us, and opted to go the delivery route. The trailer arrived to the minute of what we'd been told. It was unloaded from the flatbed in about thirty minutes. And we were able to pull it shortly thereafter. We are thrilled and eager to learn more about it and to start using it. I'm expecting I'll be asking some questions along the way but this is a wonderful venue in which to do that. Anyway, I'm now an Escaper and most pleased. Everyone stay safe, stay healthy and stay kind. Henk

Henk: Must be exciting to finally have your trailer. Enjoy it! With the downtime you may have with the pandemic you can get to know the trailer well and start planning some trips. Never too early to plan. I’m currently eyeing up Assateauge Island MD for 2021 and camping with the family right along the beach with the wild horses. Need to book a year out to get a good spot. Ask any questions you have about the trailer. Many knowledgeable folks here that can tap their experience with different models of Escapes, as well as, Scamps, Casitas, etc. I rarely see a question that is not answered accurately and thoroughly.
