Now the fun starts. Where is Christopherson? Google maps doesn't want to enlighten me.

I’m still trying to learn how to correct my profile but I can’t find my computer hammer. I’m in Magna Bay on the north side of Shuswap Lake an hour east of Kamloops

Congratulations! I'm about to get my 17B - well, in October. I think both of our households are in for a lot of fun!
For me, it's also my first travel trailer, and when I pick it up, that will be the first time I've ever camped in such a rig. Lots to learn.
And -- welcome to this forum, the folks here are fabulous. Well, they're kind of a "cast of characters", to be quite honest - really knowledgeable, often very funny. Sometimes it's humor with a twist

It's the best. There are groups of camping women all over the place....you can join a gathering if you so desire, and have any level of engagement as you wish. And most all campers are willing to be generous with assistance/ideas if you ask. There are so many tips and tricks for everything from storage to maintenance to mechanicals.

Fantastic. Looks brand new. One of the great thing about fiberglass campers is how they hold up. You're going to have a blast. Everyone is willing to help and the forum is a wellspring of information.

Yes, it looks like the camper world is full of interesting, helpful, fun folks.
The more I'm 'retired', the more I plan to participate. Hopefully measuring up, in one or more of those characteristics!

Linda is an RN and plans to retire in two years. I’m a realtor and trying my best to retire by spring. We pick the 17b up in two days and will transfer the title then insure it. We plan a few day trip to a local fly fishing lake next week. There are several dozen cheap or free camp sites at the countless dozens of fly fishing lakes within two hours of home. We live on the lake and if we camped in the Escape it could be said we camped at a nice place on a lake for free?

Welcome to the group. We got our 2010 17B about a month ago and have been doing those little things that need to be done after a few years. New awning fabric, new door screen, new flooring (if you want to do the floor consider paper bags! Looks really nice and is easy and inexpensive).
