Newbie from Nova Scotia

Hi everyone,

I just placed an order for a 19, to be ready in June. Apparently ETI got lots of orders this summer especially at the end of Aug.

I am excited to join the Escape crew, my family has currently been tent camping for the last few years and looking to upgrade. My current TV is a '17 Tacoma TRD Sport Long bed.

Being out on in the Cdn Maritimes (Nova Scotia) I haven't managed to see any Escapes at the camp sites or in person (but a few smaller '13 Scamps). So going off the videos and pictures posted here and on youtube for reference.

Will probably have lots of question as we start firming up our build sheet. Especially for the power awning vs manul and oven vs microwave and overall area around the kitchen.

Cheers, Justin

Congrats.

Even thou I never look, there are lots of previous threads that people have agonized over build sheets, that are available to you. They don't replace asking your own questions but they can be helpful.

Everyone here will help you and the humor (it is humor) is free!

Congrats on your new trailer. You will love it. The good thing is you don’t have to cross the border to pick it up. Ha ha. Three years ago we camped all over Nova Scotia, PEI and did two weeks in Newfoundland top to bottom. Met up with some wonderful people and made good friends with a couple that live in Antigonish. Safe travels.

We were in Cape Breton last summer with our Escape and stayed at a lovely little campground called the Hideaway, not too far from Meat Cove which is a spectacular view

If you can't make it to heaven, Try Nova Scotia.

There's a user selling a 5.0TA in NS, so there is at least one there.

Nice, thanks for the heads up.

I must have mentally blocked out 5.0TA when looking at the classified's. Have a truck cap and need the room for family stuff, so I wanted a trailer instead.

Cheers, J.

If the seller is willing, you may want to have a look in person anyway to see the quality of the finish and have a sense of how things can look. We bought our 1st trailer based off photos and the brochure and had some small meh moments from the get go when the trailer was delivered. I was much happier that we made a trek out to Chilliwack to see the different models before making the decision to order.

I know that isn’t realistic across the country but maybe seeing a similar product is better than nothing? Perhaps this is a personal preference as well?

Definitely good advice.

Thanks, J
