Ordered! The good news and the bad news

Done! After touring the ETI factory and other RV dealers, we ended up on a long case of undecidedness between the 19 and the 21 (loved the 5.0 but need the truck top for the canoe and some gear in the bed). Back and forth we went, but when the dust settled the 19 won out as we can live with a bit less counter and storage space but really wanted the queen size bed. The bad news is we are 55 weeks away from picking it up. I suppose the time it takes us to decide we will need until the beginning of June to settle on our options!

And now onto figuring out a tow vehicle!

The 19 comes standard with a queen bed - 60" x 80".

Sorry, I thought you said you got a 21 and I meant a queen bed like a 19'. Tried to delete but you were too quick!

We will be waiting along with you; our Escape 19 is scheduled to be ready Aug 16, 2017. I am also looking for a tow vehicle and right now it's pretty much between the Colorado diesel or the F-150 2.7L EB. I know either one would be a great choice, so just have to figure out which one would be a better fit for me. Same thing with the trailer. Lot's of good advice available on this forum to help you figure out which options you might may to add or not. Welcome to the forum.

We also just started our long wait. We just made our deposit for our 19 and our production date is 9/16/17. We just bought our tow vehicle - a 2016
F150 3.5L ecoboost.

We have the Ford F 150, 2.7 Econboost which we love! Great mileage without towing ( 23.7 mpg). Picking up our 21 next Tuesday so no idea on how the mileage with be then. We have the 4 door version and love all the space it has over the Colorado 4 door. It has a flat floor with the rear seat up, the Colorado does not

Deciding ? 19/21

WE looked at the older 5.0 single axle .We didn't get that took to long to decide on truck and what kind of hitch .Loss number 1
Then we waited top long and didn't get in to buy the 2016 models .So when 4/1/2016 came along we ordered the 21. we liked the bigger counter space the wider trailer and more storage then the 19.Although I did like the bed on the 19 .I really wanted the new 5.0TA but my wife won out with 21
pro 21
more storage ,wider ,batteries inside ,bigger bathroom, window over sink, extra rear lights,a bed you don't have to crawl over each other , and for about $US 1000-1200 more is worth the extra money IMHO and only 400-500lb difference. Jim

I see ETI is now at a 13 month +/- wait time, does anyone know if they ever realized much of the production capacity increase they were hoping for this year?

David, is your truck 2WD or 4WD? Our 2WD Supercrew with the 2.7L Ecoboost gets about 25.8 MPG when not towing, and about 15.9 towing. I think you can expect about a 10 MPG loss in fuel economy when towing. May be less than that if you tow slower. We average 68 on interstates, and 62 on secondary roads.

Bob,
I think the expanded production is just about to kick in and I'm sure these wait times will decrease as production increases.

They probably won't see any increase in production until the new facility is finished. I think it's completion date is a bit behind what they had projected.

Boy do I feel lucky to have had only an 8 month wait. Never thought I'd say that. Our 1st year with our 19 has been great. Hang in there[emoji52]

We've not heard one peep out of them in regards to getting our trailer any earlier than the original date of Dec 28th. Although I have heard of at least one other owner that's getting their 21 before us and they ordered when their books opened back up. Yeah, I know, I haven't asked ETI about that (yet).

I'm not expecting our trailer much sooner than Dec 28th, even once their new building goes up. It's gonna take a while to get things situated and all that. I'm assuming they'll also need to train more new employees with an increase in production.

Plus, we need to wait until the new 2017 Tundras come out! We decided to wait until then since we don't need a new truck until we're much closer to getting the trailer.

I was there at ETI on July 20th and the new building, slated for doing the fiberglassing part of the production process, was only a foundation at that time. So it will be awhile before any significant ramp-up in unit output.

when we were there in August they did say they were waiting for paperwork to be finished, I think from the city, then they were good to go. We were told if everything aligns well we could see ours ready a few months earlier.

That would be nice for all of us who had put down a deposit and are having a very long wait for a trailer. We are slated to get ours in Aug of next year so a month or two earlier who be great.
