Possible new owner with ????

Hello. Tomorrow I am going to look at a 2010 19’ Escape for possible purchase. I currently have a 17’ Casita. I will be towing with a 6 cylinder Toyota 4Runner.
- What should I be looking at/checking out specific to Escapes out prior to purchase?
- Is there only the one recall (frame corners)? If it has not been done is it too late to get the kit from the factory?

Thanx!

The early 19’s are a great trailer. Not a whole lot to go wrong if it was taken care of and normal maintenance performed.

There were two recalls on the 3” frames. See this post for links to information on both. If they weren’t done I’m positive that Reace would send you what is needed.

I'd check for soft spots on the floor near the bath, entry door, water heater hatch, or other signs of water leaks. Other then that I'd take a general look around to see if it's been well maintained and check all the appliances.

I have a 2010 '19 that I also pull with a V6 4runner -- great combination!
One other thing to check is the solar panel (if any). There was a recall (all models I believe) to bolt them to the roof. If you do purchase, Escape will mail you the necessary parts for both recalls and instructions. No real issues with mine after lots of miles, other than the usual maintenance.
