uprade to 7 cubic foot fridge?

We just ordered our 5.0 TA. An upgrade to a Norcold 7 cu ft fridge is an option. I can't see spending the money for 1 extra cubic foot unless its a better quality fridge. Does anyone know anything about this? We have until the 24th to complete our build sheet. Any info is appreciated

Do you have model number so someone can post the specs?

Just FYI this from another reefer thread where ("the"? "a"?) 7cuft Norcold offered by ETI entered the discussion. Click the blue "view post" button in the quote to jump to that thread for more info in the posts following ....

Question

Just curious, Theresa - in the case of your 5.0TA order / build sheet where the 6cuft Dometic reefer is "standard" (included in the base price), what is the price quoted for the 7cuft Norcold "optional upgrade"?

I'll assume that's US$ given your location unless you say otherwise.

Thanks in advance

(PS - though info on this forum is certainly great, I encourage you to verify the various reefer particulars for your specific build with ETI directly )

Oh, and congrats on your 'trailer in the works'

That is a lot for one foot, unless it is a much better unit all around?

And it is less than 1 cubic foot. I looked up the actual freezer & refrigerator dimensions for the Norcold N7LX.3 & while I can't put my hands on them now, I remember that it was slightly less than a total of 7 cubic feet. On the other hand, the Dometic DM2663LBX has a 4.6 cu ft refrigerator & a 1.7 cu ft freezer, for a total of 6.3 cu ft.

No idea if the Norcold is a better refrigerator, but it isn't all that much larger...

Are you sure this is a voluntary upgrade? We just had an E19 built and have the .7 cu ft. They couldn’t get any standard 4 and 5s due to vendor COVID issues. We had no choice but to have a 7.

I saw that as well and figured it was the only option today

It kind of is a drag. You give up the Microwave cabinet and no wiring to an alternate space. We assumed they would run wiring to under the stove top. But no dice. Ours was too far along to do that and they may not put them there at all like the older models.
