Duty or Canadian sales tax on items shipped to ETI from US?

Hi all...

We're purchasing the Dicor table pedestal and mount for our 19'... to be installed by ETI at our orientation in January. We're driving from Maine to ETI to pick up our trailer and would like to save room in our vehicle by having the Dicor stuff shipped directly to ETI.

Does anyone know if there are additional charges (other than the shipping charge) when shipping an item from the US to Canada. Will we have to pay any duties or Canadian taxes?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

You will probably pay duties and provincial taxes (actually ETI pays them and adds them to your invoice) but there are forms you can download to apply for a refund after the trailer is officially exported. Ask ETI for copies of the shipping clearance documents, they provided me with same - not a problem for them.

There's no duty on goods manufactured in Mexico or USA if you're lucky enough to find a product not made overseas. Goods and Services Tax (5%) and Provincial Sales Tax (7%) would apply.
