We had insurance coverage on our 17B through our auto carrier, Nationwide Insurance. Since we are getting our 21 in the next couple of weeks, I am looking for feedback from other owners regarding their insurance and who has the best product. Replacement cost vs actual cash value, premium, etc. I am not looking for the cheapest, but the best value overall. Thanks

one other thing they let you put the rv in storage mode and cut the cost of collision in the winter months. of course you would still be covered of a tree landed on it from comp.
National General gets 1.5 starts out of 74 reviews; several very recent. I too was intrigued with the whole Guaranteed Replacement coverage and switched from Auto Club for the trailer only- where I've been for over 20 years and very happy. Then it dawned on me to check people's claims experiences and was shocked to see how bad the reviews are covering important aspects of overall satisfaction with a claims experience. As you, I am always concerned about potential claims experience and more importantly what is covered and how it is settled. Cheap premiums aren't always a match for good coverage and/or service. I shopped around to several different companies and compared what I could. Many companies do not offer replacement cost coverage as an option. I ended staying with Nationwide as they offer the replacement/purchase price option and the premium was $312 annually for $39K in coverage.
You might want to take a look at AMICA. Our family has used them exclusively for over 60 years. We have probably had about 6 claims settled among us over the years which we found to be most generous. We have our TV and trailer insured with them as well as the road side assistance. For road side assistance we can call them and they arrange towing or we can arrange our own and they will reimburse in full. We informed them that our trailer does not depreciate like stick built trailers so each year they have us tell them the replacement value we want them to insure for.
