Question PickUp Day approaches..problems?

This is NOT a political thread.

With the rise in concern about the virus issues, does anyone know what [if any] problems we might face at or around a late-April pickup day?? WE are planning a 2-3 day stay in the Chilliwack area for sight-seeing and orientation, b4 PUD and then heading back to WA for the actual pickup. WE are getting a bit antsy about possible border crossing issues, possible 'holds or delays' on exports from Canada etc etc. Any thoughts??

I've yet to read anywhere (and I read a lot), where there are plans to close the border between the US and Canada if XX happens. And no one has a crystal ball. IF we did, I bet a bunch of us would have moved our 401(k) around about two weeks ago....

I suggest you contact Escape to question what if any impact the situation is having on them....

No issues getting through to Canada or returning from this past weekend. Closing the border would greatly surprise me, at that point they would have to halt air traffic as well. If anything I would expect lighter than normal traffic? IIRC Escape has to plan the customs appt. 2 weeks in advance, so you would likely get some heads up if anything was awry. Curious to see what they say....

If I remember correctly a few days ago you posted that this was a "hoax", why are you worried?

I passed through the border last weekend going to Whistler and back. No problems encountered. If you're healthy, I wouldn't worry about it. If you're sick, I'd postpone the pickup to avoid any quarantine issues.

I would concur, I live right by the Sumas crossing and the border sign by Costco is only showing 5 to 10 min wait times.
