When I entered the classified section last week , I had no idea the exchange rate had flip flopped. My first thought was OMG, we're in for a big loss if we sell our 5.0 at this time. I then just decided to be a fool on April Fool's Day and attempt to sell our trailer. Well I am here to say...you owners that purchased during the negative exchange rate, don't sweat it. In my humble opinion if you have taken good care of your Escape and have not made ridiculous modifications or wild color selections, it will sell well. I posted my classified ad in three on-line locations and sold it 4 days later for about the exchange rate of a new 5.0TA. Maybe I was lucky but I figure I had at least 5 things in my favor.
> The long lead time currently at Escape Industries.
> It was the smaller, single axle trailer that is no longer built.
> Our Escape was built, setup, and ready to go and endure our bugs, heat, and humidity of Texas.
> Because Casita won't build a bigger RV.
> And the new owner could see our care and love for this RV.
The memories we made and the uncharted places we traveled to more than offset the little amount of $ I lost in the sale of our Escape 5.0.
