For sale: Swagway RV Bicycle Carrier $75

We have an excellent non tilting Swagway bike carrier for sale. It is only for a 2" hitch, does not tilt, comes straight out from the hitch receiver with no funny angles or pieces to break off. It interfered with our rear spare tire mount on our Escape 19, we had it extended 8", not only was it extended but an inner sleeve was welded into the tubing so the weld will never bend nor become a weak point. All hitch mounting hardware included, when the threaded pin is screwed in, then a threaded nut is attached to the pin. It does not come loose.

The carrier only holds 2 bikes. We found the ratching mechanism comes loose over rough roads, and a bungie cord (included) prevents this loosening. The ratchet hold down presses down on the top bar of each bike frame, a metal bike is perfect for this type of hold down. The carrier has successfully carried our bikes with no loosening for 10,000 miles, many on dirt roads or pot holed Mexican roads.

So why are we selling: our 1st pair of bikes cost $300 combined, the Swagway was less than $100 and seemed appropriate for the level of bikes owned. Our 2nd pair of bikes cost $800 combined, and again the highly rated 1UP cost as much as those bikes, that still made no sense. Now that we own a pair of fairly expensive carbon fiber bikes we worry about a load on the frame, a wheel mount seems safer for the carbon fiber frames.

$75 delivered in AZ, between Flagstaff to Phoenix. If you are in Tucson we could meet you partway. The rack weighs about 55#-60# and shipping would be crazy expensive.

Text us at 928 231 3781, we get so many junk calls we just don't answer the phone.
