Interesting 2 Burner Stove

I saw this interesting 2 burner stove in a new Forest River RV video...so I would expect that it is made in the US.
I like that it has 2 big burners and the knobs are on the front so they don’t melt and stay cool. The burners are one in front and one in the rear and covered with a folding glass lid. This would fit nice in a 19 and give more counter space. (Like in the old days when Escape would mount your stove sideways)
I just mention this as Escape appears to be having problems sourcing some products. I did do a quick search but could not find the unit. The only thing I know about the stove is that it appears to have a long name on the left front side.

Are they been declining to do so now? Or does the current stove not lend itself to doing that? Too bad, we felt it made a useful difference in our 19.

i found some compact 2-burner stoves like this with a search
RambleWood Equipment & Conslting Limited -- Products

but not with knobs mounted on the front edge of the counter.

Google "drop-in double side burner" and you will find a number of manufacturers that make that type of range top. I couldn't find that particular model either.

The two-burner stove is mounted sideways in my 17b. Maybe they only do it in the smaller trailer?

The two burner stove is mounted sideways in my 5.0TA too. But it's not the flush mount stove.

Looked at that and others similar to it, however one would have to remove the burner grates when towing as they just sit there and would go flying.

The Atwood 2 burner drop-in cooktop that ETI would turn sideways was discontinued, however there may still be a few left in some RV supply's stock. Found this on Amazon:

when I googled drop-in double burner, I found a bunch of stainless 'side burner' stoves meant for big fancy propane BBQ stations. none looked particularly suitable for RV use.


to be honest, we've used our gas oven as often as we've used the stove top, as I generally make my coffee outside with a jetboil, and much of our camp cooking is oven-centric. when we use the stove, we rarely use more than one burner, often to boil a big pot of water that we can drop home made frozen meals in...

When we ordered our 19 in 2018 it was going to be the black stove on top of the counter. With the location of the knobs in the corner, it proved well in both orientations.

During our production they changed it to the flush mount stainless steal which we like the looks of much better, however it’s output is just ok and nothing extra and limited on pan/pot diameter. I could be mistaken but I thought Escape mentioned that they would not be mounting this stove sideways.

I thought it was just me that could not find this front knob stove...maybe it is new. We will not be changing our stove, but I thought others might be interested if Escape starts having problems finding what they are using now due to limited supply.

Being a classic, we had the Atwood 2 burner rotated and the optional cover.
The new flush 2 burner stove ETI has been using is approx $400, but I scored a new one on eBay for $175.
Finished the conversion in Sept, and you do have to enlarge the opening but it still goes in rotated with not issue. Hardest thing was making the template for the cutout. Absolutely love the change, especially being able to get rid of the matches since this stove has an igniter...

After much digging I have found the source of this cooktop. It is sold in the US by “Way Interglobal” which is said to be in Elkhart Indiana.

The stoves are to new for new for pictures I guess. I suspect it is the $199 model however they also have one for $179 and a 3 burner for $179.

I am no expert on stove prices but I think their offerings look good or the price.

They also sell full RV stoves and 12 volt fridges.

Unless the Escape counters are wider, I would not be in favor of the knobs protruding into the aisle.

I agree this is not the stove for many of the trailers that I have pictured. While walking by I would be cutting the corner for the door and ending up with the knob in my pocket for sure.

However for our 19 with the wall that sticks out beside it and walking at a dead stop in that area...I think it would be ok.

Eggscape This is off topic ,but i could not help noticing that paper towel holder. where did you find that?

I found it in my local Walmart here in Canada.

That local makes it reachable from both inside and outside. You don’t even have to open the screen door and let all the bugs in...just slide the little flap in the door open.
