2005 Escape 17B

What appliances/devices can be used under solar power?
Will you deliver to the Seattle area?

Thanks,
Ken

The solar panel keeps the two 12 volt batteries charged even on an overcast day. All the internal lights are 12 volt LED so we can use as many as we like. The furnace and fridge are propane so their only draw are their fans. The MAXX exhaust fan also works off the 12 volt. We charge our phones and computers off the 12 volt system. The stove top is propane so runs without any draw from the 12 volt system. The hot water heater is propane so only draws a little power to start up. The water pump is 12 volt.
Bottom line we have dry camped for four days with no problems and could likely go much longer.
We can deliver to Seattle area but don't know what is involved in cross-border sales so would need to work that out.
Cheers
Mike

I believe that your Escape doesn't have AC, correct? Do you know what's involved to install it?

Our trailer has AC - there are five internal AC outlets and one external. The AC is connected to a Parallax 7300 Power Center that charges the 12 V DC system when the connected to 'shore' power. There is also a 400 W Inverter connected directly to the DC system to charge our computers etc.

I assume the question was about air conditioning (often abbreviated "A/C" instead of "AC"), rather than about AC (versus DC) power.

Our trailer doesn't have an air conditioner A/C and my understanding from Reece is that it is not possible to install one because the roof needs strengthening to take the weight and there would not be sufficient headroom clearance inside. The original plan with the early Escapes was to install the A/C in the space above the fridge but according to Reece those units did not perform well so they switched to placing them on the roof of their newer trailers.
