I look forward to the inside pics!
I don't see AC? Does it have the AC compatible roof reinforcements by any chance?

2008's do not have the reinforced roof. That came a couple of years later with new molds.

Good Escape history to know. I think I've read they put in side AC units before the roof units. Perhaps that's possible?

I opted for no air for my 2008 17B.
As an option, I could have had the roof re-enforced at the time of build for later AC installation. It's possible that the owner of the Seattle 17B did have the roof re-enforced without AC ( which is where it would be installed.
I've not heard of side AC install myself.

When ETI first started manufacturing trailers, all A/Cs were side mount. Anne H has a 2006 and I believe it's mounted above the microwave on the drivers side.

My 2006 17b has the side mounted AC on the passenger side above the refer. I imagine ETI could add it to a standard trailer.

Would be a lot of "depending on". I have a 5.0 cu. ft. fridge with a cupboard above. I don't think there is enough room ( and you lose the very useful cupboard). Outside are the fridge vents, already using that space.

The AC is a window unit so it is inexpensive. if it goes bad it is pretty easy to change. For a standard installation a chimney is added to the roof for cooling air intake and an exhaust vent is added above the upper refer vent. They fiberglass the bottom of the cabinet and add a drain line for the condensation. The refer power can be tapped for the 120 volt input.
i replaced my AC a couple months after I bought the trailer. The original unit was undersized so ETI paid for a new one that I swapped out. That was nice of them!

Interested in your trailer; is it still for sale? We live in Port Townsend, WA, so it would be an easy cruise over to see it. I am leaving for Oregon Wednesday, so I will not be back until the following week, but can see it on the way out or back. Can you send photos via email?
