Hello Connie and John
My husband and I are looking for an Escape 5th wheel. We're new to camping - are you happy with this unit? Also - how do you fit a king size bed where a queen used to be? is this still for sale?

The bed in a 5.0 (and a 5.0TA) is a mattress on the floor of the loft area, with the long dimension along the length of the trailer. Queen and King mattresses are the same length (80") so they are interchangeable in that direction. The loft is almost as wide as the main part of the trailer body, so there is a space on each side of the 60" wide Queen mattress; a 76" wide King mattress would just leave less space... but it must be just about zero clearance to the walls.
If you try to do this is in the newer 5.0TA I think the front corner of the mattress will run into the corner cabinets, but the 5.0 has only overhead cabinets in the loft, so there shouldn't be any cabinet interference.

Hi again,
We're still looking for a truck. Is yours by any chance for sale? If so, details, please. Thanks.

No, the truck is not. The 5th wheel is, however, for sale. Please remember that almost any truck can pull an Escape. We get 17+ miles to the gallon towing the trailer.
