Escape 21C on Vancouver Island, price change CDN$44,500 or USD$33,300
We are selling our low mileage, well-maintained Escape 21 Classic which we picked up new at the ETI factory in Chilliwack in September, 2014.
The trailer is very clean, inside and out. Its exterior has been regularly waxed, and protected by an Adco cover. The interior has been kept warm and dry in winter by an electric heater and fan.
Dishes, pots and pans, pillows, duvet, throw cushions, sheets, and quick-dry microfibre shower towels are all included. Just add your tow vehicle and groceries and you will be ready to camp right away.
The trailer does not have air-conditioning, and in our temperate climate we never felt the need for it. But AC can be retrofitted.
Here are the Escape options we chose on our original build list:
--2-Way Hot Water Tank
--2 burner Atwood stainless Steel Stove and Range Hood
--5 Aluminum Wheel Rims
--2 Additional 12-Volt Interior Power Outlets
--Dual 6-Volt Batteries
--Anderson Anti-Sway Hitch
--Additional Exterior Hatch (Rear—Driver’s Side)
--Kitchen Counter Extension Next to Sink
--Maxx Fan
--Extra Insulation in Walls
--Thermal Windows
--Exterior Propane Quick Connect with 12-Foot Hose and Adapter
--External Shower
--Inverter—1500 Watt with Transfer Switch. Includes All Outlets
--LED Interior Light Package
--2 LED Exterior Lights
--2 LED Captain’s Reading Lamps Over Bed
--2 LED Captain’s Reading Lamps Over Dinette
--Microwave Oven
--Opening Window in Bathroom
--2 Propane Tanks
--Removable 30-Watt Power Hookup Cord
--Stainless Steel Sink
--Chrome Faucet
--Storage Cubby Cabinet Bins Outside Bathroom Door
--Privacy Curtain at Door
--Stove Cover
--Front Storage Box on Hitch
--Surge Protector
--TV-Ready with 120V Outlet (W-4)
--160W Solar Panel
--Spray Foam Insulation Under Trailer
--Additional Access Door under Bed on Bathroom Side
--Toilet Shut Off Valve
--Interior Switch for Driver’s Side Exterior Light
--Texas Fridge Fan
--Winterizing T-Valve
--U-Shaped Dinette (table and posts can be removed to create a lounge area)
--2” Hitch Receiver on Rear Bumper
And here's the additional equipment we have added:
--Mattress Upgraded to Casper Original in 2021
--Ventilation Material under and around Mattress
--4 New Carlisle Tires in 2022
--Sewer Hose Extender
--Bal X Tire Chock
--4 Wheel Chocks
--4 Pads for Stabilizers
--Pad for Hitch Post
--Andersen Levellers and Tire Jack
--California Immobilizer Hitch Lock
--California Immobilizer Wheel Lock
--Wheel and Tire Covers—Set of Four—Black
--500W Baseboard Heater on Stand with Thermostat (to save propane in campsites with AC power).
--LED Light Strip under Awning with Remote Control
We are located in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island and the trailer is now available for viewing by appointment. We are a three-hour drive from Victoria, and an hour north of Nanaimo. For anyone from the Vancouver area who wants to view the trailer without a day of driving and ferries, Harbour Air flies Otter float planes daily on a scenic route between Vancouver Harbour and Comox Harbour. We can pick you up in Comox and return you to the Harbour.
Price: CDN$46,500 or US$35,000
Thanks for looking!

We have dropped the price of our 2014 E21C to CDN$44,500.
Its condition belies its age.
We look forward to showing it to prospective buyers.

Hi,
What is the total weight on this? What kind of tow vehicle do you have?
Thank you.

lHi Lynn,
Escape 21C Specifications
Axle Weight 3099 lbs
Total Dry Weight 3465 lbs
GVWR 5000 lbs
We towed our 21C with a 2011 Toyota 4Runner with a V-6 engine for two seasons, then switched to a Toyota Tundra with a 5.7 litre V-8. Both are good, but the additional torque of the Tundra made it a better choice for towing in places where steep grades are common, like the Rockies.

We also own a 2014 21C, based on the VIN# we know it was the 848th Escape they produced and probably one of the 1st twenty five 21C's manufactured. Curious, what is your VIN #, last three numbers will tell us if it was made before or after ours.
All the best with your pending sale, we plan to own ours till death.
Take care,
Steve

There are a couple others, there was a couple in Marietta that had a 2014 21C but think they sold it. I remember they were only taking local trips because of the health of a family member they provided care for. Another couple in Alpharetta that looked at mine 99% sure they ordered one. So what's holding you back since it does not look like you own an Escape?
Take care,
Steve

Ours would be older being the #848th Escape ever manufactured and yours would be the #907th they manufactured. Plus I'm referring to trailers they produced not just the 21C.
There is a thread "Model History' that tells you what people know about this, Iowa Dave and a couple of others had some background. The 1st 21C' were made the end of 2013 beginning of 2014. Ours was produced May of 2014 so pretty sure our is one of the first 25 they made yours probably 50-60. As I understand it they do not number them by model just numeric and there is no way to know after mine at #848 the 58 they made in between what models they were. I know once introduced the 21C was very popular.
We really don't use ours enough to own one but we love it and do plan on using more in about 2 years when better half retires. Plus we never see ourselves selling it, we use it as an extra bedroom at our lake home where we will live sooner then later.
Take care,
Steve

Tbanks for the congrats, Ross, and for expediting those Atwood sail switches from the US to Canada.
We sure had mixed feelings today when the new owners drove off with our beauty, but the time has come to write a new chapter.
We will miss the wit and wisdom of the Escape Forum.
Safe travels and happy camping, everyone!
