SOLD: 2014 Escape 15B Excellent Condition

For Sale: 2014 Escape 15B, Excellent Condition
This little trailer is awesome! It has everything you need to camp, wet or dry. The design and layout are perfect. From what we have read ETI made only 107 of these 15' trailers, and only about half were built with a wet bath. This is truly a rare find! We were lucky enough to find this trailer last April. It has been a ton of fun and easy on gas, easy to park, easy to set up, easy to tow. The near-queen sized bed has plenty of room for 2. The wet bath was great when we were dry camping - it is nice to take a quick shower when none are in the area. The MaxFan has been wonderful, program the temperature and forget it. We have camped in this trailer in all kinds of weather and have been warm when it is cold out and cool when it is hot out. Included is a portable evaporative cooling tower I made that runs off DC. Nice to have, but we only used it once on our way back from a camping trip to try it out - it worked great! Reality is we like camping in the mountains where heat is not so much an issue. And with a retractable screen door and the MaxFan it was easy to move air around. Also included with the trailer is a cargo rack that fits in the 2" rear receiver, custom cut indoor/outdoor carpet over the vinyl floor, and a portable solar panel that kept us in power when dry camping. The refrigerator held enough food for a week with food left over. The storage capacity is truly remarkable: overhead, under seat, under sink, under and over refrigerator, 3 drawers for utensils and "junk" & wardrobe area closet. We cannot say enough good about this little trailer. We are asking, with all the extras (solar panel, cargo rack, custom indoor/outdoor carpet, evaporative cooler) $19,500 US for this gem. If interested please send a private message. Site is difficult to post pics to, I can email them to you if interested. Thanks!

Thanks for posting the photos. I don't recall seeing photos of the inside of a 15B (nor an A for that matter) before, so it was quite enjoyable to see. Good luck with your sale!

Insulation package?

Hi , Nice rig.
I am wanting to purchase an escape for a while. I am convinced the insulation package is the ONE gotta have. Does the trailer have the insulation package as well as the foam insulated floor?
Please let me know.
I am presently in N. AZ but will be traveling to AK this spring
Thanks, RD

Insulation Package

Thanks for the questions about the insulation the trailer has. Before I get into what it has I can tell you our experience: we spent more than a week of nights in below freezing weather in the 15' with one night going as low as 23° F and we were very comfortable. As a comparison we spent the last two nights in our 19' at temperatures slightly above freezing at 35° F and were a little bit chilly. Both trailers have thermal windows and the reflectix insulation, but the 19' has the spray foam on the undercarriage and the 15' does not, but in terms of thermal comfort the 15' was superior. I think the difference is the configuration of the bed over the benches, the lower window count, the smaller volume, and the indoor/outdoor carpet in the 15' that make it a very warm trailer at night even without the spary foam on the undercarriage.

I think that the spray foam could be added after the fact. Those interested may want to call ETI and check.

I was thinking about doing that for my trailer but it was cheaper to do it as part of the original construction than as a mod after delivery. I'm glad I have it.

8' Garage & Spray Foam Insulation

Will it fit?" The 15B specs state the overall height of the trailer is 8'-2". So, will it fit under an 8' high garage door...well, it depends... I had a friend tell me a story about a lift kit he put on his mighty Chevy truck. He did the work in his garage where he was out of the weather. When it came time to take the truck out of the garage to show it off, it would not fit under the garage door! After some head scratching the solution came to him - he let some air out of the tires, not all the air, but just enough, and was then able to get his new lifted up ride out of the garage. All he had to do was re-inflate the tires and was off to pick up chicks! At least I think that is what he was off to do...no, it did not work as he is still single

Spray Foam Insulation: In my opinion and based on experience, I would not add the cost, weight, and ugly to the trailer. We spent more than a few sub-freezing nights in the trailer and were plenty toasty warm in our near queen size bed with a 2" mattress topper over the cushions. In fact, had to crack a window to keep the trailer cool enough to sleep! Like the saying goes "If it aint broke, don't fix it".
