Jake930, I'm towing with a Ram 2500 which is an over kill. The Forum could best answer your questions concerning the 2014 Tundra.

Jake930, unless it's changed a lot the pin weight should be 600 to 700 lbs. Hope this helps on the payload capacity

With a published dry pin weight of 600 pounds, actual pin weight in use is unlikely to ever be under 700 pounds. Current owners have reported higher weights.

MacMan, I had a 2007 Tundra which I loved. What kind of gas mileage do you get towing?

JollyJerry, I only get 15 MPG towing. But, as I have said before, I bought a Toyota not just for towing. I bought the Tundra as I believe (as does Consumer Reports) that the repair record far exceeds the other trucks on the market. While I do have to purchase more gas than some of the other trucks when I am towing, my repair bills will be lower. It's one of those "pay me now, or pay me later" kinds of deals.
