Want to buy an Escape
My husband and I are contemplating making an agreement with Escape Trailer Industries to purchase a new Escape. We are considering a 21 ft. If anyone has been through this process, James and I would appreciate any advice you have to give, especially of choosing the options/extras. We would not rule out purchasing a used Escape, 2016-2017, 21'.
Also, if any of you have a 2017, 21' and would be interested in allowing us to preview it, please msg me. We live in SW MS.
We currenty have a 17' Casita which we will be selling once we make the deal to purchase. Thank you for any ideas on choices we should make on the options.

Hi Brenda. Since every one is not always on the forum, maybe contact ETI for info on owners of 21s in your area. ETI has a list available of people willing to show.

Options? Oh my stars. This is the chance you have to build a trailer to suit your needs/wants. I spend 5 loooog months just searching for the perfect upholstery fabric for ME (Thanks Kathie! ). In the end, it's not about what is great for others, but how you envision your future travels... everyone knows how they've camped in the past. What do you want for your future that's different? You'll make those choices when you make that decision...

Donna is a wise woman with lots of fiberglass trailer experience, I'd follow her advice.

You're so very kind. BUT it was my Mother that told me, you can't repeat the same thing/experience 75 times and call that a life. MAKE NEW MEMORIES.

Use the search function to look up previous posts about 21' purchase. There will be many. Type your query in the bottom Google site search.

Welcome Brenda,
Some of us are on our second or more Escape as Tammy and Peace make it hard to not upgrade your trailer every now and then by constantly making improvements.

If anything is agreed to in your emails back and forth with the company, make sure it gets included in your build sheet.

The base Escape models are relatively basic so plan on lots of options. Now Scamp trailers are even more basic. It's just a pricing strategy IMHO.
You will love the move from Casita!

I tend to disagree. Escapes come with LOTS of standard features that are either options or not available at all on other brands, like a Casita.
To me a stock Escape is well equipped, not basic.

I think it depends on one's background. I grew up camping in a tent and sleeping on the ground so even the basic model--my "forever" trailer--was luxurious to me. I added several options but almost all of them were in the "nice-to-have" category. Custom laminate? Nice. Custom vinyl? Nice. Solar? Nice. And so on...

Totally agree. The "must haves" for the most part, are included in the base price. The only exception I can think of is AC, and that's only a must have if you live in a certain part of the country.
