You and the rest of us, lol. Good advice given to me months ago...Put your deposit down on a new trailer and continue to look for a used one...I wish I took this advice..

Thanks for the advice. With spring just around the corner, was hoping there might be a few up for sale. We currently have a 2019 Lance Truck camper. Love it but ready for a little more space to move around. Glad you got one on order.

There might be. Here are some thoughts I have shared with others.
1. Get your money ready at a moment's notice.
2. Make sure the asking price is reasonable and the seller viable. Remember these things are going to go close to full retail value and very quick.
3. Don't haggle on price. Snap it up, when the chance arises.
4. Try to get another way to contact the seller, preferably a phone number. Communications often present additional problems when trying to close the deal.
5. Close the deal on the phone, send the money like it is burning a hole in your pocket. ONLY after making sure this is legitimate. You never know!

Moral of the story is; they don't last long. And you will be competing for the sale. Do not allow barriers to show up unless they are a show stopper. Else wise, you lose.

Back to the Lance. I bet it's nice.

You need to start your own "4 sale post" for your unit and fix the year model...

Great advice. This is pretty much what I did a couple weeks ago to get my used one that is sitting in the driveway now. A good used one went up for sale in L.A., 8 hours away from me. After months and months of pining and preparing, I was READY, and boy did I jump on it fast. Do all your research now, make a list of must-haves for your options, remembering that many of them can be added/modified yourself after purchase. Make it easy on the seller, but don't be overly pushy. There were 2 things in my case that slowed it down a bit and the seller had to wait on, but I made sure he knew about them and asked if he was cool with it. One was moving the money, we did the deal on a Friday afternoon so we had to wait for my wire transfer to him to clear (my bank didn't have any local branches where I could get a cashier's check). The other more difficult issue was the hitch...as soon as the seller told me it was coming with an Andersen Ultimate with gooseneck turnover ball connection, I knew I needed that on my truck to take it away. RV & Trailer places are slammed these days. I called just about every place in the L.A. metro area, most saying it would take weeks, until I finally found one that had the parts in stock and could install it over the weekend. After those 2 things were resolved, I drove away with it on Monday! Anyways, just sharing my experience as I hope it helps you...

First impressions are stellar, the towing experience and gas mileage were everything I had hoped for on the drive home. This is my first fifth wheel after years of bumper pulls, so that part (hooking up, etc) was a learning experience that I'm still going through. Right now it's in the driveway as I add, modify, and dial in both the trailer and TV...getting ready for my first "real" trip in a week or so. I'll keep posting updates!
