Jim I wish you were closer, garden is going nuts with the heat and the rain.
I had a hornworm completely strip a banana pepper in July. I saw a catbird hopping around in the peppers and went down there when he flew away. The worm was gone and just the main stem and the leaf petioles remained. I kept watering the plant the same as the untouched peppers. Leaves came back and it bloomed and is now loaded with sweet banana peppers. Hope springs eternal in the heart, mind, and stomach of this gardener.
Apples on the Wolf River trees are huge. Two would make a pie in an 8 inch pan easy. Cortlands are very nice and Honey Crisp broke a limb the other day. More Granny Smith than we’ve ever had.
