Basically they have a system they would like to sell to Dometic and Norcold, but neither will buy, and its patented so they (Dometich and Norcold) cannot use it otherwise. No one will deny it works, but they tend to use scare tactics to encourage you to buy it.
However, if you wade thru their web site, they have a lot of good trouble shooting information buried in there. Just depends on how much you want to spend on safety.
If you keep your fridge burner cleaned out and working properly, and have a propane regulator that you test regular for pressure, and you never operate the fridge out of level, you are probably safe. Manometers are cheap and I made a adapter to plug into the outside quick disconnect to test the entire system pressure, so its easy to do.
