My bathroom fan does not work at all. I do not know if it operates off of fuses or a breaker. I am not sure how to track the problem down. I usually check the breaker first, but there isn't anything that tells which one it is. Any ideas?

The bath fan will be wired on a 12V fuse with other items. Check all your fuses first in the power center. If it isn’t a main fuse the fan that Escape uses has its own thermal fuse on the motor that can blow. This is hardwired in-line and is a bit of a pain to get to and replace. You need to take the handle and screen off from the inside. This fuse will blow if the fan is closed before being turned off. When ours blew and I just cut it out and never replaced it. Works fine.

Our fan was working great and then we were in a high humidity situation for several days and the foam around the inside top edge of the fan fell off and is blocking the blades. How do we get in there to fix that?

I also have a 2021 21NE that has loose vent foam. It is sticking out the side when the cap is down. I haven't explored fixing it because there is a solar panel above it that will need to be removed for access. It sounds like a good idea to repair the foam or risk blowing an internal fuse or damaging the fan. Shoot.

Yeah it sucks. The referenced video shows how to install a new fan. I want to fix the foam on my fan. Just have to figure out how to access it.

It looks like there are screws holding the cap on to the lifting bracket. I can see what looks like a screw head on top at the edge of the cap. I think that if those screws are removed the cap will lift off and the foam can be reattached to the cap. I don't know what kind of glue to use. Don't want to melt the foam or plastic cap by using the wrong glue but it is clear that what ever glue was used by the factory doesn't work.

I think the handle needs to be removed for access. Ours is installed with one Phillips head screw against the shower wall, inaccessible, and the other is easily accessed. Have to get an offset screwdriver I guess.

There are 2 screws that hold the outside cap on. Take them off and the cap pops right off. You will see the foam. Place the foam back in its correct position the and replace the cap back on.takes about 5 mins. That’s how long it took me lol

We are back home. Took the cap off, thank you To kh3ad, it was very easy. Took out the foam and reglued it to the cap reinstalled cap. Fan motor must have died. It is not working. Will contact Dexter for warranty replacement. If they say no we'll order a new one from E-Trailer.

I have my fan parts exposed from the inside of the bathroom. I cannot see any sign of a fuse or anything that may need replacement.
Mine, too, was shorted by the foam insulation. How do I tell if the motor needs to be replaced? I am not sure where the thermal fuse on the motor is located, if that is what it is.

When ours failed because of the foam, we removed it and tested it and it was dead. Took it apart since we were getting a replacement under warranty and could not find a fuse anywhere. If this new one fails, hopefully it won't since we put a different gasket in it than what came with it, We're going to bite the bullet and get the more expensive Max Air bathroom fan that's a direct replacement.
