Black Tank Location
I am wondering where the black tank is located in the 21NE. Is it directly below the toilet or somewhere else? I am asking because I want to buy one of those black tank sprayers but don't know if I need the straight wand or one with a flexible hose.

True... in all Escape models. It typically extends into an adjacent cabinet; in the 21C that's under the front end of the bed.

On the 21NE, the black tank is located above the floor (all are - 23 yet to bee seen), and runs from under the toilet towards the front into the driver's side dinette seat area. Capacity of a whopping 13.2 gallons. The drain line for such is located in the bottom of the tank thru the floor.
Believe there is a "common" vent for the black and gray tanks that runs up the wall between the bath and wardrobe wall.........?
Might be a bit off on this detail.

pretty much every RV I've been in with a thetford style toilet has had the black tank directly under the toilet.

Sorry for the stupid question, but on the 21C is the black tank we will see under our bed an extension of the rest of the tank under the toilet? Or is it a plumbing pipe under the toilet that leads into the tank under the bed? We don’t have ours yet (we will in 22 days though!), so just wondering how things are situated there. Thanks!

The black tank you see under the bed fills the entire stepped up area under the toilet and the toilet sits on top and empties directly into the tank. Here's a build photo from a 5.0 - different layout, in this case you can see the black tank and the hole where the toilet will mount, and then the tank extends back into the area under the steps up to the bunk. Same size tank on the 21C, just mounted sideways extending under the bed.

It takes a LOT of toilet use to fill even the 22G black tank of the classic 21C. We usually run out of grey and fresh first.

Thank you very much, David. Understand that the 21C black tank is a bit smaller than the 5.0’s, but very good to know how the tank will be situated.
We hope you’re doing well, and that you’ll be back on the road as soon as you can.

The black tank in current 21NE, 19 and 17B is 13.2 gallons which is more than adequate for me. I have the 21NE.
I dispose of some grey water in the black tank to increase the liquid level of the black tank and to increase the time between dumping the grey tank. The grey tank seems to determine how often I dump tanks.
