City Water Connection filled holding tank..

I need a little advice. I hooked up to city water when I set up camp yesterday using a water filter and pressure regulator and today I find that my freshwater tank has been filled to overflowing. It was empty yesterday. Any idea what's going on? I have unhooked from the city water connection and tested the pump and it seems to be working. Is there a valve stuck somewhere maybe?

The check valve in the pump is not holding allowing water to back feed through the pump into the fresh water tank . There is a procedure to correct the problem on the forum but for the life of me I can’t locate it.

Thank you Steve, I'll dig for it...

Water pump

Someone else had this problem about 10 to 14 days ago and the procedure was posted. I’m not sure what it was but something like having 3/4 tank of water and cycling the pump about 15 times and letting the cold water pressure bleed off off with the pump off. The check valve is the problem though and if the problem persists you can get a check valve kit a lot cheaper than the pump.

Thank you so much! That procedure unstuck the valve. All working normally again.

Warranty item

I see your trailer is a 2017. It should still be under warranty. I had the same check valve problem with my trailer. I was able to fix it for a couple of days then it returned. I contacted ETI and Reace sent me a new pump under warranty.

Pretty common failure. Mine did the same thing. Then we broke camp, traveled all day and it now works fine. Lesson I learned is don’t leave the water hooked up when the trailer is unattended. I also had the toilet valve leak. Overflowed the toilet into the shower pan, filled the gray tank, then the pan. Same lesson, don’t leave water hooked up unattended.

Unattended

Yup there’s a few do not rules that it’s easy to get into the habit of doing that may save a little heartbreak later.
1. Don’t leave your water on unattended
2. When you go away, stow your awning
3. Don’t leave your Yeti cooler full of craft beer and cold cuts out on a picnic table near the road in a crowded Campground overnight
4. Don’t leave the tow pin out of your stinger when you drive off.
5. Always check your tank valve position before you take the cap off especially if you’ve seen any future Yeti thieves on 20 inch bicycles cruising around your rig.
Obviously any of these actions would be heart breaking and if they would have all happened to one camper he’d be insane by now. But this compendium has happened to one each of some of my favorite Escape campers and best people I know.
Experience is the best teacher and something else I forget.

Thank you, yes. I did have the problem re-occur and Reace has sent me a replacement.
