Dometic RM2354 not staying cold enough
When we bought in 2015 I got the Dometic 3 cu ft refrigerator mainly because people were hating the 4.3 cu ft. The 3 is rated as climate class T (Tropical) good up to 109 degrees F. Lately it seems to struggle in higher temperatures.
Is this as good as it gets?
Time, Outside Air Temp, Refer Temp
8am 65 33 Cooled overnight shore power. Set to Propane at setting 4
1pm 84 39 Still OK, control set on 4
4pm 87 44 Too warm, set control to 5
9pm 80 40
10am 60 28 Oops, left it set on 5 all night
I'm seeing numbers up into the 40s. The freezer always stays nice and cold. Is there some service that can help this?

Look inside your fridge for a plastic piece that is on one of the fins. It should have a tube on it. If it is jarred in the wrong direction it will have trouble cooling. Can’t remember if you move it up or down but if it doesn’t cool in the upper position, move it lower, or vice versa. The lowest versions do not have that plastic piece to adjust the differential between the freezer and the fridge, so then perhaps something else will work. Our last four or five campers have had that plastic adjuster on the fins.

Yes, you can fine tune the temperature with that sliding thermistor. But, the freezer is a good indicator, regardless of refer being warmer than expected...

I have a 2021 2663 in an E19 that has the same problem no matter where I put the thermistor. The freezer is great, but the fridge will freeze carrots one day and be 48F the next.

I moved the thermistor down quite a bit. Now I just need a hot day! I'll report back what I find. Thanks!

The freezer gets cold first, whats left the fridge gets. Is this on gas? Does it have electric?? if so, what is it doing on electric. If it works properly on electric and not on gas, you could have low gas pressure. It doesn't take much low to affect the tiny flame in the fridge. Stove and other equipment may appear to work correctly, but the fridge will not get hot enough to cool.

For mine, it doesn’t seem to matter if it’s 12v, 120v, or propane.
