Furnace operation

Brand spanking new 21C. We have the digital thermostat. When on shore power, does the heat strip or the furnace have priority when the thermo goes into heat mode?
Thanks

The heat strips will only come on if you program it on the thermostat. If you have the thermostat set to the heater then the heater will come on. This has been my experience.

Not that we are going to need heat soon. The next 3 or 4 days are going to be in the mid 90s (possibly a record here in mid MO). On our maiden voyage to LOZ. Hope we can get one more trip in before winter. Thanks for the info.

Our AC (2019 21C) does not have a heat strip (our Casita did, and I miss it).

On our Maine trip last week, the very loud AC fan started coming on when I was trying to get the furnace started in the middle of the night. Had to read the manual to discover you have to switch the fan to Auto to keep it from coming on.

I really hate the hard-to-see digital control on ours. Maybe you have an improved version.

Check out the Micro Air Easy Touch Thermostat. Easy to see & set, can be controlled via your phone over bluetooth or WiFi.

That would definitely be an improvement! But $249? Kinda steep. . .
