So if it is on propane and you have a flame blow out, does it switch and if the flame reignites does it switch back to propane?

You can manually select DC from the fridge control panel by turning off "auto" and selecting DC using DC selector button.
Perhaps having the fridge on Auto is how it got switched to DC and nearly killed the battery. It would be easy to accidentally hit the DC button though. Trouble is DC also controls the thermostat in these fridges when in AC or propane. When I get time I'll see if there is an inline fuse for DC only operation.

I was hoping to find someone who actually has disabled DC operation, yet it still works on propane and AC.

Enjoy,

Perry

The AC and DC heating elements are separate, so if desired the DC element could be disconnected (unplugged at a convenient terminal), even if there isn't a separate fuse for it.

I thought there was a way to lock out the 12v operation. I remember either Reace or someone here posting the procedure. Gotta go to happy hour- will check in later.

Pulling the 30 amp DC fuse on the fridge will disable DC operation.

As per my earlier post. Perry should give fridge model so we are certain that it is the DM2663.

my fridge will keep trying to relight the propane when there's no AC and its in auto... it never uses DC unless you manually push the DC button. i have the big fridge/freezer with the brushed stainless front they were putting in 21's in 2014, I don't remember the model number, is it RM855x or something ?
