Hot water hose in 2nd Gen 21

As some of you will remember, last year ETI/Reace replaced the hot water hose in the 2nd Gen bathroom due to hose being used that wasn't rated for hot water. Mine was the second one that exploded - which was not a fun experience in the least.

All has been fine for the past year plus a few months. However, on my last trip out I noticed there was some water in the bathroom after my shower. I didn't think too much about it as I figured I had forgotten to dry something off. The next day I was more attentive and knew I had reached all areas. But a short while later there was water on the floor of the bathroom again. What the heck? I discovered water was leaking out of the hose attachment, just under where it attaches to the sink faucet. Dried it out and thought it was fine.

After I washed dishes after breakfast, I noticed water in there again. Yep, that connection was leaking again. I tried to take photos, but they didn't turn out.

I contacted ETI about it and was told we could get a pair of needle nose pliers and replace it ourselves. Dirk nixed that idea as we were both concerned there might be something else going on, due to the past history with that particular section of the trailer.

I took the trailer up yesterday. David says the washer thingie (or whatever it is that goes inside the hose at the connection) can get cross threaded and will leak on the new trailers. He wasn't aware of the previous situation. He didn't know why it started leaking after more than a year. He didn't do the repair, so he wasn't sure what was going on.

Anyway, I just want others to be aware that it might start leaking in that area, even if you got yours replaced last year during Reace's big journey. If it's leaking on new trailers, as he stated, it's probably already been covered on this forum. But, since I'm not here very often, I wouldn't know.

Oh, and the leak was getting worse each time. Fortunately I was at the end of my trip to the Oregon Coast (and watching gray whales!).
