Inverter Question

On our 1st trip with a new Escape 19. Equipped with solar panels and inverter. Seems we have no 110/120v to the outlets even with a fully charged battery. What am I missing? Shouldn’t the inverter convert 12v to 120v and power outlets?

Nothing in the manual that I can see…

Are the Inverter switches set to remote and did you turn the Inverter on at the solar controller remote switch? Also check the GFI on the Inverter. Mine was off when I received trailer. Ensure the sub-panel breakers are on.

Are you still connected to shore power when doing this? If so, turn the main breaker in the power center off, or disconnect from the pedestal.

Have you unhitched the trailer from the TV before trying the inverter? We found our inverter will not come online unless and until you disconnect the TV. You can imagine how we learned this Yep, getting sleepy while driving so we pull into a rest area to make some coffee but no inverter. Didn't want to take the time to figure out why but later discovered this fact.

Silly me…. The inverter was not switched on…. Just reviewed the Escape video where they recommend keeping the inverter off, until needed….

Quite the learning curve…
