Inverter transfer switch not working

I tried the inverter after we lost power at a campground. I had tested it when we first got the trailer and used it on a three-day off-grid trip with no problems. This time the power did not go to the outlets, but I could use the toaster plugged directly into the inverter. I don't see any fuses or Breakers for the transfer switch.

If you have a transfer switch, the breakers for the two plug circuits are under the bench in a separate small panel. Maybe one is tripped for some reason, though the circuit would not work while connected to the grid either.

I just found the culprit. The outside plug GFI had popped. I guess when the power went off it must have tripped it.

Yeah, the galley plug is protected by it.

Yes, that’s a confounding, sneaky culprit the first time it happens. Now it’s the second or third thing I check, not the fourteenth, after pulling out the multimeter and looking at inline fuses etc.

A similar situation happened to us with trailer plugged in at home. Turns out that our outlet on house exterior runs through a GFI outlet inside the garage that had tripped. That was fun figuring out.
