milky white color in water pump?

Hi,
My water pump was perfectly clear prior to de-sanitizing the system with bleach. After, the small receptacle that holds the small screen became a milky white color and has since remained that way, despite rinsing. Any insights or issues? Did the bleach score the plastic, making it opaque? See photo. thanks, Dan

I'd depressurize the system, remove and clean filter, reinstall and then see what happens.

Same thing happened to me. I think I used too much bleach and the result was the same as what you are seeing.

This happened to me also. Keep flushing clean water through the system and it will clear up.

Might it be particles from the sacrificial anode maybe released in mass by the bleach? Mine gives off white particles as it's doing its thing.

I had milky water at tap. This was due to an aeration problem. There where two aerators on facet.

That is highly doubtful. The filter in question is on the inflow side of the 12v water pump, which contains a check valve to allow water flow only in one direction, and the sacrificial anode is in the water heater which is on the outflow side of the pump (after the check valve). Although I’m surprised that bleach would have that effect, since several others have had the same experience it is probably the cause.

I expect it is using way too much bleach.
