Optional front light on the Escape
Just found this picture over on the Escape FB page. That is a good picture of the effectiveness of the optional front light on an Escape. It illuminates the box, box contents, propane tanks and jack areas as well as the ground around. I highly recommend one for your trailer to help with those night time hookups.

I had ETI install LED lights on all four sides of our 21' for the same reason(s). They do come in quite handy, especially when we camp in remote places with zero lighting. Really nice to be have some ambient light in the darkness.

A light comes stock under the loft on the 5.0TA, and is handy for propane or the storage hatch just like the front light would be on all other models. On my 19 I put one on all sides, but in 6 years I don't think I ever used the driver or rear side light so did not put them on the 5.0TA and have not missed them. On the rare occasion I might need light we carry headlamps and flashlights.

I have a very similar experience. I have lights on the both sides and the front of my Escape but have only ever used the one by the entrance door. I also find that my flashlights or headlamps get used much more than the Escape exterior lights.

Seems like we always have "different" use cases than others, but we use our lights on all four sides all the time while traveling. If we want to take a shower in the outdoor shower after dark, we're using the light that just happens to be right next to the outdoor shower fixture! If I need to get something out of the front storage box, there's that light just above the bellyband. Finally, if I need to cover/secure the bikes on the back, we use THAT light.
I knew we'd need all that, hence the addition of them on the build sheet. Works great...for us.

I only have the porch light and find that I have to use my key chain flashlight to find the switch.

I noticed after heading to a shower and leaving the door light on that these lights really do light up the area

Does the front LED light hold up over time? I know in the Scamp and Casita world several people that have the style shown complain about water entry and eventual corrosion in the light over time. They switched to a sealed LED light on the new Scamp but not sure if Escape uses a sealed unit on the optional front light?
Trying to fill the holes on our build sheet.

I got an addition light front and rear, and amber lenses on all exterior lights. Even of you need to eventually replace the light the wiring is run.

I had Escape place the porch light below the belly band and install a yellow lens.
The light still illuminates the ground without shining in your eyes .

John Dave,
After 4 1/2 years, the front LED light shows no signs of corrosion. I left the dust so you could it exactly as it was when I remixed the cover.
