Shipping Battleborn Li Batteries to ETI Canada

I'm planning to ship 2 Battleborn Li batteries to ETI. They will install in our 5.0 and get the systems setup. I believe Li batteries were shipped from the US to Canada more frequently in the past (not sure) and fabric/flooring ship commonly now. Does any have any experience shipping from the US to Canada? What's the best method? Does anyone recall if there are any special requirements for Li batteries?
Thanks for any information...

I'm sure the seller of the batteries would know if there were any limitations........

I purchased my Battle Born from this Canadian retailer and they shipped the battery directly to ETI.
This was much easier than dealing with shipping across the border.

Excellent! I didn't consider that method. I was getting into thick weeds.. Thank you!

You are absolutely correct. I'm finding it's very complex navigating the rules when shipping batteries of this nature. Battleborn would charge US sales tax for the initial purchase and use their international shipper who would charge Canadian duties, taxes, and shipping costs. Pricey!

Battleborn will ship to me free, but I would pay international shipping costs, plus added declarations, restrictions & costs, if I can find a shipper who will ship Li batteries not installed or part of a piece of equipment.

You made my day today. Thanks again!

This is just curiosity and personal information collection as my formal build sheet process approaches.

Now that ETI includes GoPower LiFePo batteries as a standard option in new trailers, why are you getting ETI to install Battleborn batteries?

Thanks!

Thanks!

I was looking into returning a Battle Born battery (NIB). With Fed X, If you have the orig. box you can use the existing hazard declaration. Shipping for one battery from Va. back to the factory was close to $100. I'm sure cross border shipping would be PIA. I would either use the Escape battery or swap the batteries later. Just make sure the Escape battery has low temp. cut off for charging and discharging.

Battleborn has heated Li batteries. No more low temperature concerns.

Low temps are no longer any concern with Battleborn heated batteries. The Canada supplier noted above will ship them to ETI and will have them in stock by July, which works for my timeline.
