Water hook up and hot water tank.

I have a 17B I have been kind of assuming that the pressurized water hook up will fill the hot water heater. Does it? Are there setting I should be aware of when using my Hot water heater with pressurized water?

Thanks!

Hook water hose up to the city water inlet and open the pressure relief valve. When water comes out of it, you water heater tank is full.

As gbaglo says. Opening the hot water tank pressure release valve allows the air in the tank to escape as water fills the tank. You can alternately open up a hot water faucet to let the air out until the tank's full and water comes out of the faucet.

Note: You may have a hot water bypass pipe installed that's used when winterizing your water system. Make sure the bypass valves are turned back in the spring to allow the incoming water to again fill the hot water tank.
