Has anyone checked the strainer on the water pump? Just notice it today.

My water pump failed this year. As part of trouble shooting, I did check the strainer and it was completely empty of debris.

Having had a water pump fail, and being very lucky to have been near an RV dealer where I could buy a replacement relatively easily, I now carry a spare pump along with a small assortment of hoses and clamps. Cheap insurance.

I have had my pump strainer plug on one occasion.
I soaked it in CLR , cleaned it right up, then reinstalled
the strainer . I. do not know what substance caused the strainer
to plug , I always use a filter on my water supply so your guess
is as good as mine.

Welcome to campground water. The plug may not even happen at your last stop. Who knows? There again, I've read lots of threads where folks complain about the "hook ups."

Glad you found a solution that worked for you
