Paving on SR 20 will mean delays west of Winthrop beginning Monday
WINTHROP – A crew with the Washington State Department of Transportation will begin paving a section of SR 20 between Early Winters campground and Winthrop on Monday.
The crew will repair sections of the highway between milepost 177 and 193, Monday through Thursday from 5 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day. Work will require flagger controlled traffic with pilot car and travelers should plan for longer than normal travel times. There are no local access detours through Forest Service lands. Work is scheduled to wrap up Aug. 11.
Drivers are reminded to stay alert for crews and bicyclists and to obey traffic control when traveling through the work zones. Updates for the project will be shared on the WSDOT real time travel map and on Twitter at @WSDOT_East.
