Thanks so much for watching! Remember to share and subscribe!!!
I'm working on a couple more videos; 10 lessons from our first month of full-timing and Yellowstone/Grand Tetons visit (10 days of free camping!)....the videos run about 10 or 12 days behind our actual travel. We are currently in southern Utah!
Take care!

Don't do that! I just try to learn from other YouTubers and I use a great program to edit, Wondershare Filmora ($49) that makes editing a breeze. I tried several and Wondershare was the first one I found that was intuitive!

Agreed! But it would be much more convenient to run downhill to the car! It seemed like the longer we ran the further away the car was and the steeper the hill got!

As you already know, hiking (or just being outside) during a thunder storm is ill-advised. To date this year in the US, there have been 20 reported fatalities attributed to lighting strikes (source: National Weather Service). Interesting to me is that they are mostly in the southern states. I would have thought there would be some in the mountainous Western states:

Glacier is quite elemental. Wonder when that burn was that you were hiking though? The good news there is that it improved the sightlines to you and the grizzlies can maintain safe distances. Look forward to your report about the Tetons. We have spent a few months there for the last four winters backcountry skiing. Paid camping in Tetonia, so I am curious about free camping options.

The Florida Panhandle is #2 because we get warm, moist air moving up from the Gulf. I'm very cautious during an electrical storm.

enjoyed
Hello,
Thanks for sharing and will be sure to watch the rest of your video's. For about 10 years in a row friends and I would take 2 week back packing trips out west, I remember Logan's pass and many other beautiful things nature provided us. Enjoy and stay safe. I actually broke my ankle on the way to Glacier Meadows in Olympic National park, that was a day and trip I will never forget
Safe travels,
Steve

We have done some camping in Lakeland Florida a couple of times in June and the lightning can certainly be frightening especially at night when storms quickly form!
