Congratulations on your beautiful new baby! Looks beautiful! As we will be picking ours up in a week and a half, and also purchased the hitch, I appreciated your explanation and reassurance at delivery.
May you have many happy travels in your new Escape!

We also are picking up at the end of August. Looks like we will change our plans to spend more time in the northwest before heading back east. Based on all the great insights of trailering an Escape from both experienced and first timers, we are confident this will be a great trip! Thanks for the towing insights.
See y’all in the northwest soon.

If you know anyone on the forum personally or are comfortable enough with their experience consider PM'ing them for their phone number. If you have any questions about how something operates, etc. on your maiden voyage you can text or call them. I did this for a couple that was not familiar at all with trailers and brought their new 19 3000+ miles home from Chilliwack to NJ. It is nice to have someone to communicate with if Escape is either unresponsive, closed, etc. Consider it free tech support. They could really own any model trailer since they are all basically the same. The only exception is if it was a 5.0 I would recommend it be another 5.0 owner as there quite a few more particulars to be aware of.

Flatbed Delivery Coming Up
We are about 10 days away from flatbed delivery of our new 5.0 in Omaha Nebraska. Disappointed as heck not to travel to BC, but decided that just means we will postpone the trip to next summer. We are wondering about the build sheet verification process and any other tips anyone might have as we prepare to get the new travel baby. PS we are brand new RV owners and we have watched a lot of video but we will take any advice. And if I have posted this in the wrong place, please help me there too.

Our 19 was delivered in mid May, and we went thru the build sheet line by line to make sure everything was there. Tried all of the appliances, fixtures, lights, in all modes, options (solar, inverter, etc) Filled up and sanitized the water tank. Took it out for a couple of nights close by, all was A-OK. The only issues we had were the stereo they installed stopped playing CD's (Boss, they sent a new one) and the E2 hitch head was loose after I drove home from the pickup location (about 100 miles)

The route included WA Highway 2 which is a beautiful 2 lane highway (driving approx 55 mph) as well as interstates (driving approx 65-70 mph).

Your Gladiator and Escape combo look nice! Congratulations.
We are debating picking up our 19' mid-October in Sumas, or having it delivered to GA. If we pick it up, we would like to start back to GA via the Cascades and Cascade highway, which we have never been on.
Did you use any of the campgrounds in the Cascades, and if so, do you have any recommendations?

My experience was that if any little part had an issue that Escape could mail to us - they did so promptly - like a door hinge. We had trouble with our furnace, really bad trouble, and had to work with the manufacturer which was awful. After much frustration - a great RV mechanic told his vendor they needed to give us a new one since it didn't work from the first use an went through quite a number of RV shops on our first trip. So it is nice for you to get it delivered. Test those appliances thoroughly before you go out. Our replacement furnace works like a champ. So, great idea!!

If you're still planning to pick up in Sumas, I'd recommend Oostema Farmstead Inn in Lynden, WA for the closest place to Sumas on the US side of the border. We had an amazing stay there in late August. Lisa & Glen were the best hosts. Setting up our trailer took a bit longer than we expected and they extended our stay without a problem. The farm was a perfect landing spot. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately, we didn't have much luck with campsites in the North Cascades due to the Labor Day holiday.
