Place to stay in Albuquerque & Amarillo

Looking for an overnight place in these two locations. Yes, I know about Trip Advisor, but I thought it would be nice to hear from those on this forum about where they've stayed.

Thanks

Assume you're camping. I'm not a huge KOA fan, but I stayed a week at the Bernalillo KOA (Albuquerque) last fall for the balloon festival with an Aframe group that booked a year in advance. It was the best KOA I've ever been in--fantastic clean bathrooms, great friendly and helpful people, meticulous grounds and sites, and best of all, through the back fence is a gate to a lovely brewpub with good food. If you're a Mexican food fan, I can recommend the best chile relleno I've ever had at the Range Cafe.

Yep, hauling the trailer. Thanks for the tip. I've stayed at a few KOAs and don't have much experience with them. I'm sure I'll have more by the end of this trip.

We stayed in Cochiti Lake COE campground a couple weeks ago, but it's about an hour away.

In Amarillo we stay at a place called "overnite" where you are limited to one night. But you get a chance to eat at the Big Texan Steakhouse because they will send a limo to your cg and bring you back after dinner, we stay there every trip.
