Road Trip

Hi all,
Just back from a very nice road trip no reservations, just pack and go 10 days plan A,B,C.
Prepped bear 2 days prior just to make sure everything was in order. 1st day batteries @ 100% turn frig on all is good, next morning batteries @ 75% Err-Humm ok something is running my power down, 1. batteries ? 2. short ? I isolate the systems using breakers and fuses, turn out my frig circuit is the culprit, now all I need to do is find out why ? pull back panel look, pull, twist, and look some more nothing Humm ?. Back inside frig appears to be working ok, not quite as cool as it normally is after a full night ? Humm Ah the remote sensor is too close to the light, reaches into frig "Darn that light is Hot" Humm.
Close frig door return 5 minutes later open door touch light "Darn that light is Hot" grabs phone turn on video rec. place in frig open and close door several times "Bingo" light switch was not making good contact, placed a small piece of foam tape on door, retest all is good again. Not sure why the switch failed to open the circuit but the light should always be cool to the touch when first opened.

Just a couple of trip pics
Happy Camping
Tin.

Thanks for the light on in the fridge tip. Are your awning posts painter poles? How well do they fit into the awning corners.
Thanks

Tin,
Were you operating your refer off 12v or propane? I assume you have the double door larger model and the exterior fan was off or on?

They are tarp poles, anodized aluminum and they fit snug.

I run the frig off propane, and yes it is the double door. I have the Texas fan but never turn it on unless we are camping (stationary) and temps are in the 90's we never camp in 100+ temps

Great pics, love the desert scenery. Where were they taken?
