Also close to the Saguaro National Park outside Tucson is the Desert Trails RV Park. We've stayed there twice and are returning later this month for a few days. Dated but comfortable facility with full hookups. Very quiet park for active adults with hiking trails that lead to the Tucson Mountain Park nearby. On our last visit we spent a day in Tubac, about 50 miles south on I-15. Small artist colony with unique shops, an interesting museum, and a number of good lunch restaurants.

Fort Huachuca near Sierra Vista has an RV park for active and retired military. It is a full service RV park. I'm not sure about requirements at this time. Retired military friends have stayed here in the past

I don't know about camping in the area. But a not to miss attraction near tombstone is Kartchner Caverns State Park. This is the most amazing cavern system I have ever toured. The cavern is very well protected, it is a living cavern with its own ecosystem. Very interesting history, well worth a visit.

Patagonia, AZ is an attractive town

Patagonia also has a nearby State Park for camping. It's even on the water.
Many interesting places in that state.

Useful information & thanks to all. We will be in the Patagonia area the end of this month and first few days of March.
